Why SaaS SEO costs what it costs
A local SEO agency charges $1,000 a month. A SaaS SEO agency starts at five times that and the good ones at ten. The gap is not margin; it is the shape of the work.
- The pages that rank are expensive to make. SaaS wins on comparison pages, alternatives pages, integration pages and use-case pages. Each one needs a writer who understands the product and a designer who can build a table that converts. A blog post a week is not the job.
- The metric is signups, not sessions. Every agency here reports on trials, demos, PQLs or pipeline. That means analytics work, attribution, and a strategist who reads your funnel, which is senior time.
- Links are the bottleneck. A new SaaS domain with DR 10 cannot rank a comparison page against G2 and Capterra. Agencies that do link building and digital PR charge for it; agencies that only "advise" on links leave you to do the hardest part.
- AI search added a second front. Getting cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity needs third-party mentions, reviews and directory listings on top of your own content. Every agency on this list added a GEO or AEO service in the last two years, and it is priced in.
The practical consequence: an agency retainer buys senior strategy and content production. It does not make a weak domain strong. The cheapest way to arrive with a domain that can rank is covered in before you hire one, below.
The 15 best SaaS SEO agencies, by category
Grouped by budget and stage, so you can skip the ones that are not for you.
1. Published pricing, lowest entry point
The agencies that put a number on the site. If you have under $5,000 a month, start here.
Embarque
Best for: Bootstrapped and early-stage SaaSFrom $1,500/moThe only agency on this list with a full price grid on its homepage: $1,500, $2,800, $5,200 and $10,000 a month, with a money-back guarantee and no lock-in. Embarque grew up serving indie SaaS and marketplaces, so its playbook is built for sites starting from nothing: programmatic pages, link building, and a lot of content per dollar. Around 30 published case studies, most of them for small products, which is unusual and useful. If the others on this page are out of reach, this is the one that still makes sense.
Named clients: VEED, Riverside, MentorCruise, UXCam, Mailjet, Buy Me A Coffee. Stated result: SignHouse went from zero to 60,000 monthly organic visitors in six months.
Rock The Rankings
Best for: Series A to D SaaS measured in demosFrom $4,500/moJustin Berg's agency publishes three tiers, Strategy from $4,500, Done-for-You from $7,650 and Authority from $14,000 a month, and an AI Search Blueprint sprint from $10,000. Month-to-month is allowed at full rate; 90-day and 12-month terms are cheaper. The positioning is narrow on purpose: subscription SaaS between $2M and $50M ARR in healthtech, fintech, martech and HR tech, with reporting in demos and pipeline. Note that the entry prices differ slightly between the pricing page and the service pages, so confirm the number on the call.
Named clients: Toast, Bizzabo, MoonPay, Keragon, Lendbuzz, Rasa. Stated result: Lendbuzz: organic signups up 200% year on year, with a 69x increase in sessions on new pages.
TripleDart
Best for: B2B tech that wants SEO plus paid, ABM and RevOpsFrom $5,000/moAn 80-person "AI-native" B2B marketing agency where SEO is one engine among several. The organic growth system starts at $5,000 a month billed monthly, with up to 30 content assets a month, 5,000 tracked AI prompts and a dedicated strategist. TripleDart is strong on programmatic SEO and generative engine optimization, and it can hand the same account to its paid media and RevOps teams, which matters if you would rather run one vendor than four. Over 300 B2B clients claimed.
Named clients: SentinelOne, Glean, Razorpay, Payoneer, Zuora, Freshworks. Stated result: Glean: organic traffic up 275% with improved demo conversions.
Growfusely
Best for: Cost-conscious teams that want a one-month pilotPrice on request, one-month pilotFounded as The 20 Media in 2018 and rebranded in 2020, Growfusely is the India-based option on this list, which usually means a lower retainer for the same scope of content and links. It does not publish prices but does offer something the others do not: a one-month pilot campaign before any retainer. Services cover audits, topical maps, content, link building, digital PR and an explicit AI-search visibility track. A sensible way to test an agency without a six-figure annual commitment.
Named clients: Mind the Graph, JetOctopus, Whatfix, Document360, Sprinto, GetResponse. Stated result: Mind the Graph: organic traffic up 217% in six months and referring domains doubled.

Skip the grind. We'll submit your product to top directories so you get real users, feedback, and lifetime backlinks without lifting a finger.
2. SaaS SEO specialists for post-product-market-fit companies
Agencies that only do SaaS, want a company that already has customers, and price accordingly.
Virayo
Best for: PE-backed B2B SaaS after product-market fitFrom $7,500/moJarod Ferguson and Robbie Richards' agency has served over 100 B2B SaaS companies since 2018 and describes its average client as roughly $50M in revenue and PE-backed. Three tiers start at $7,500 a month with an initial six-month term. The method is customer-led keyword research, which means interviewing your buyers before building the keyword map, plus content, links and a generative engine optimization track for AI search. Virayo's own site has only 233 referring domains, the lowest on this page, which is worth asking about.
Named clients: Sprout Social, Truckstop, Brandfolder, TestRail, MYOB, Spotio. Stated result: Cedreo: from about 6,000 to over 70,000 monthly organic visits and 7x trial signups in two years.
Skale
Best for: Product-led SaaS that measures SEO in signupsPrice on requestSkale reports on signups, PQLs, SQLs and MRR rather than traffic, and assigns a dedicated four-person team per client. Co-founded by Italo Viale and Jake Stainer, with about 26 people across Europe and South Africa and over 60 SaaS brands served. The service list is the standard SaaS SEO stack (content, links, technical, migrations) plus AI brand-mention tracking and conversion optimization. No pricing on the site, and the pricing URL returns a 404, so expect a discovery call before a number.
Named clients: Maze, Wealthsimple, G2, Flodesk, Slite, Holded. Stated result: Maze: monthly organic signups up 283% in under six months.
Minuttia
Best for: SaaS whose leadership treats AI search as a priorityPremium, price on requestMinuttia says it plainly: "We're not cheap, we're not the cheapest, and we never will be." What it offers in exchange is no minimum commitment, a 94% average retention rate and an average tenure of over two years, all stated on the site. The work is content, digital PR, Reddit marketing and a heavy answer-engine and LLM optimization practice with its own agent analytics reporting. Over 60 B2B SaaS clients. The Respona case study, zero to 100,000 monthly visits in two years, is the one to read.
Named clients: ServiceTitan, Sitecore, Docebo, Toggl, Visme, Meilisearch. Stated result: Meilisearch: LLM-driven conversions up 2,700% since January 2025.
SimpleTiger
Best for: SaaS and AI companies that want SEO, AI search and PPC from one teamAbout 5% of revenue or fundingSimpleTiger prices unusually: packages "start at 5% of revenue or funding at the respective growth stage", quoted after a demo, with tiers named Kickstart, Scale, Accelerate and Dominate. Over 90% of clients are B2B and the agency has leaned hard into answer engine optimization, with Firecrawl and Segment on the client list. PPC and Webflow design are available from the same team. Its own site cites an industry range of $5,000 to $30,000 a month for SaaS SEO without committing to where it sits in that range.
Named clients: Invoca, Gainsight, Gelato, Firecrawl, JotForm, Segment. Stated result: Invoca: 41-to-1 ROI over ten months with over $3M in pipeline from AI and organic search.
3. Content-led and premium
Where the retainer buys a writing and editorial operation, not just an SEO strategist.
Omniscient Digital
Best for: B2B software that wants a boutique team of ex-HubSpot and Shopify marketersFrom $10,000/moFounded by David Ly Khim, Alex Birkett and Allie Konchar, who between them ran growth at HubSpot, Shopify and Workato. Full-service engagements start at $10,000 a month and a standalone SEO and content strategy package at $15,000, both published. Around 30 people in Austin, New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Boston. The Jasper case study is the best known on this page, and the agency is unusually strong on programmatic SEO and conversion optimization alongside content.
Named clients: Jasper, Order.co, Smartling, 360Learning, GatherContent, AppSumo. Stated result: Jasper: organic sessions up 810% and product signups up 400x.
Flying Cat Marketing
Best for: SaaS expanding into new languages and markets$10,000 to $20,000/moMaeva Cifuentes' agency publishes the clearest commercial terms of the premium group: an $8,000 audit in month one, then $10,000 to $20,000 a month on a points system, a four-month initial commitment and rolling 60-day notice after that. The specialism is international SEO and localization, with in-house writers who focus on HR tech, hospitality tech and martech. Flying Cat states that it does not do white-label work. Remote team across 15 countries.
Named clients: Softr, Stonly, Mixmax, ActiveCampaign, Hotjar, Livestorm. Stated result: Softr: MRR up 227% in six months.
Animalz
Best for: Well-funded B2B software that wants premium content-led SEOPrice on requestAnimalz is a content agency first and an SEO agency second, and its client list reads like a list of B2B software IPOs. The positioning is "the biggest brands in B2B software", which tells you who it is for. Services run from SEO and answer-engine strategy through blog articles, technical SEO, refreshes, survey-driven whitepapers and executive LinkedIn ghostwriting. No pricing, no contract terms anywhere on the site, and leadership under Ty Magnin as CEO.
Named clients: Amplitude, Airtable, Atlassian, Intercom, Ramp, Wistia. Stated result: Amplitude: 7,000 to 200,000 monthly visits from seed stage to IPO.
Siege Media
Best for: Established brands that want content, digital PR and AI-search visibilityPrice on requestThe largest agency on this list by team, with over 80 named staff and $148.6M in yearly client traffic value claimed on the site. Founder Ross Hudgens wrote the Wiley book on generative engine optimization, and the agency sells GEO alongside content strategy, digital PR, Reddit marketing and research reports. Siege works across SaaS, fintech and e-commerce rather than SaaS only, and asks for six months or more. Its own 6,163 referring domains are the most on this page, by a wide margin.
Named clients: Zendesk, Zoom, HubSpot, Zapier, Airbnb, Instacart. Stated result: Zapier: $6.1M increase in traffic value and 96% LLM visibility.
4. Full-service and enterprise
For companies that want a whole marketing function, with SEO as one line inside it.
Powered by Search
Best for: B2B SaaS with $15,000-plus monthly growth budgets that wants a pipeline guaranteeFrom $9,000/moThe longest-running agency here, founded in 2009, and the one with the most detailed public price list: SEO and LLM ranking consulting from $9,000 a month, implementation from $14,400, promotion from $21,600, all lower if billed quarterly, plus one-off audits from $2,500 and a $25,000 execution sprint. The headline promise is 30% more sales-ready opportunities in 90 days, guaranteed. It targets companies already spending $15,000 or more a month on growth with VP-level marketing leadership in place.
Named clients: Basecamp, SentinelOne, Varonis, Elastic, Fortra, TouchBistro. Stated result: Cyera: $7.9M in qualified pipeline over twelve months.
Directive
Best for: Mid-market and enterprise SaaS that wants a 150-person agencyPrice on requestA $25M agency with over 150 employees and six offices, serving 250-plus B2B companies. SEO sits inside a "Customer Generation" model that also covers paid media, content, GEO and revenue operations against pipeline targets. Directive does not publish service pricing; the only priced item on the site is a $399 self-serve course for teams that cannot afford the retainer, which gives you a sense of where the retainer starts. Best matched to companies with a marketing team that can absorb a large agency.
Named clients: Adobe, Calendly, ZoomInfo, SentinelOne, Gong, Sumo Logic. Stated result: Inscribe: 237% keyword growth and 32% organic traffic lift in one quarter.
Kalungi
Best for: Funded SaaS that wants to outsource the whole marketing departmentFrom $50,000/mo full-serviceKalungi is not an SEO agency; it is GTM-as-a-service, with a fractional CMO, content and SEO, paid media, ABM, HubSpot RevOps and web development delivered as one team. The full-service engagement is published at $50,000 a month or more for SaaS between $5M and $50M ARR. Smaller tiers exist for earlier stages but are not priced publicly. It is on this list because its SEO practice is real and its comparison-page playbook is good, but only consider it if you want the whole department, not the SEO line.
Named clients: DataGuard, CPGvision, Patch, BotDojo, One Click Contractor, Beezy. Stated result: CPGvision: $4.7M in pipeline and 533% SEO growth.

SaaS SEO agency pricing in 2026: what the published numbers say
8 of the 15 agencies publish a starting price. Lined up, they show three clear bands, and where an agency sits tells you what the retainer actually buys.
| Agency | From | What the entry price buys |
|---|---|---|
| Embarque | $1,500/mo | From $1,500/mo. No long-term contract. |
| Rock The Rankings | $4,500/mo | From $4,500/mo. None required. |
| TripleDart | $5,000/mo | From $5,000/mo. Billed monthly, none stated. |
| Virayo | $7,500/mo | From $7,500/mo. 6 months, then monthly. |

| Omniscient Digital | $10,000/mo | From $10,000/mo. Not stated. |
| Flying Cat Marketing | $10,000/mo | $10,000 to $20,000/mo. 4 months, then 60-day notice. |
| Kalungi | $50,000/mo | From $50,000/mo full-service. Not stated. |
- $1,500 to $5,000 a month buys execution: a set number of content pieces and links per month from a small team, with a strategist shared across accounts. Embarque and TripleDart's entry tiers, and Rock The Rankings' strategy-only tier, sit here.
- $7,500 to $15,000 a month buys a dedicated strategist, senior writers and link building or digital PR, reported against pipeline. This is where most specialist SaaS SEO retainers start: Virayo, Rock The Rankings done-for-you, Powered by Search, Omniscient, Flying Cat.
- $20,000 and up buys either a large content operation (Siege Media, Animalz, the premium tiers at Flying Cat and Powered by Search) or a whole outsourced marketing function (Kalungi at $50,000).
The agencies that do not publish prices cluster in the second and third bands. SimpleTiger's own site cites an industry range of $5,000 to $30,000 a month for SaaS SEO, which matches what the published numbers show.
How to choose a SaaS SEO agency
- Ask for the price before the call. 8 of 15 publish it. An agency that will not name a starting price in writing is pricing on your budget, not on the work.
- Match the stage. Embarque and Growfusely take pre-revenue SaaS. Virayo, Rock The Rankings and Minuttia want post product-market fit. Kalungi and Directive want tens of millions in ARR. Being too small for an agency is the most common way to waste a retainer.
- Check who did the result you like. A 810% growth claim from a client that raised $50M says less than 60,000 visits for a bootstrapped tool. Ask which team members worked on it and whether they are still there.
- Line up the minimum term with the SEO timeline. SEO takes three to six months to move. A four-to-six-month first term with a rolling renewal is fair. Twelve months up front, before you have seen anything, is a bet.
- Ask what they will not do. Link building, programmatic pages and Reddit are where agencies differ most. If you need links, pick one that names link building as a service, not one that "advises" on it.
- Test their own SEO. The referring-domain column is the agency's own backlink profile. It is not everything, but an SEO agency with 200 referring domains is asking you to trust a playbook it has not run on itself.
Before you hire one: the first quarter you can do yourself
The first three months of most agency retainers go to work that does not need an agency: a technical audit, a keyword map, and the first hundred backlinks. A new SaaS with DR 5 and twelve referring domains is not ready for a $7,500-a-month content programme, because nothing that programme publishes will rank until the domain has some authority. You pay the agency to wait.
Do those three first. Run the site through the Domain Rating checker to get a baseline. Read the SaaS SEO guide for the keyword map and the comparison-page playbook. Then get listed on the SaaS directories and startup directories that give dofollow links. That is 100-plus referring domains for a week of evenings, or $99 to $199 done for you. When you do hire an agency, it starts on a site that can rank, and its first report shows movement instead of a baseline.

How we compared these SaaS SEO agencies
- SaaS specialists only. Every agency here names SaaS or B2B software as its core market on its own site. General SEO agencies with a SaaS page were excluded.
- Facts from the source. Pricing, terms, client names and case study results were read from each agency's website on 10 September 2026 and quoted as stated. Nothing was taken from third-party lists.
- Same criteria for all. Starting price, minimum term, focus, named clients, one stated result, and the agency's own referring domains from DataForSEO.
- No pay-for-placement. Nobody paid to be here, there are no affiliate links, and the grouping reflects budget and stage, not who we like.
- Dropped when unverifiable. accelerate agency was removed because its site no longer exists.
LaunchDirectories tracks 128 startup and SaaS directories with live Domain Rating and runs a manual submission service. We are not an SEO agency and do not compete with anyone on this list; we are the step most founders take before hiring one.
SaaS SEO Agencies FAQ
How much does a SaaS SEO agency cost in 2026?
Of the 15 agencies compared here, 8 publish a starting price. The range runs from $1,500 a month at Embarque to $50,000 a month for Kalungi's full marketing outsourcing. Most specialist SaaS SEO retainers start between $4,500 and $10,000 a month, and the premium content-led agencies sit at $10,000 to $20,000. The rest quote after a discovery call, and SimpleTiger prices at about 5% of your revenue or funding.
What is the minimum contract at a SaaS SEO agency?
Embarque, Rock The Rankings, TripleDart and Minuttia state no long-term commitment. Virayo asks for six months, Flying Cat for four months then 60-day notice, and Siege Media for six months or more. SEO takes three to six months to show, so a four-to-six-month first term with a rolling renewal is fair to both sides. Twelve months up front, before you have seen anything, is a bet.
What is the difference between a SaaS SEO agency and a general SEO agency?
SaaS sites rank on comparison and alternatives pages, integration pages and use-case pages rather than local or product listings, and they measure success in signups and pipeline rather than sessions. A SaaS SEO agency has written those page types hundreds of times, knows how to report on trial conversions, and understands product-led growth funnels. A general agency will spend the first quarter learning your business model on your retainer.
Should I hire a SaaS SEO agency or do it in-house?
Hire an agency once you have product-market fit, a marketing owner who can approve content weekly, and at least $5,000 a month for six months. Before that, the highest-return SEO work is cheap and repeatable: fix technical basics, publish comparison pages, and build the first hundred backlinks through directory submissions. An agency does its best work on a site that already has some authority.
What is GEO or AEO, and why does every agency now sell it?
Generative engine optimization and answer engine optimization mean getting your product cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Every agency on this list added it in the last two years, and several now lead with it. The practical inputs overlap with SEO, plus a heavier emphasis on third-party mentions, reviews and directory listings, which is why those matter more than they used to.
Which SaaS SEO agency is cheapest?
Embarque, at $1,500 a month with a published grid up to $10,000 and no long-term contract. Rock The Rankings is next at $4,500 for strategy only, then TripleDart at $5,000 for done-for-you. Growfusely does not publish prices but offers a one-month pilot, which is the cheapest way to test any agency on this page.
