What Uneed Is and Who It Is For

Uneed is one of those launch platforms that tries to make things a bit more fair for smaller startups. Instead of burying new projects under the weight of already popular ones, every product that gets submitted has a chance to show up in the daily feed. That alone makes it attractive to indie makers and early-stage founders who usually struggle to get noticed on bigger sites.

The site itself is simple to use. You can scroll through categories, click into product pages, and quickly get a sense of what each startup is about. It doesn’t feel overwhelming or cluttered, which is nice compared to some directories that just dump endless lists. There’s also a bit of community spirit with leaderboards and highlights, so it feels more active than just a static catalog of links.

Uneed offers paid submissions starting from $29. The platform provides dofollow backlinks with a DR 76 domain rating.

How to Submit to Uneed, Step by Step

Indie hackers, makers and founders of tech products. The site reports over 85,000 makers.

1
Paste your URL at uneed.best/submit-a-tool
Uneed scrapes the page to prefill name, description and images, then asks you to create an account to save the draft.
2
Clean up the prefilled listing
Rewrite the title and description in your own words and upload a proper logo. The scraped text is rarely good enough to win votes.
3
Choose Fast-track ($14.99) or Skip the Line ($29.99)
There is no free option for new products any more. Fast-track gives you a slot about two weeks out; Skip the Line lets you choose the day. Both include the permanent dofollow link.
4
Launch at midnight Pacific and campaign for the day
Up to 45 products launch each day and the daily top three get podium badges. Ask real users to vote; batch-created accounts and single-IP votes are removed.
5
Aim for the weekly top three
The weekly top three go into the newsletter. If you miss it, the $15 relaunch gives a second run later.

How the launch works: Products launch daily at midnight Pacific, up to 45 a day. Four rolling leaderboards (day, 7 days, 30 days, 365 days); the top three earn podium badges, and the top three of the week plus two hand-picked products go into a newsletter of over 22,000 subscribers.
